The YAAD course.
As anyone who has started out on a Wiccan/ Pagan path will attest, finding teachers and gaining clarity and understanding can be a huge step to overcome.
This is where YAAD will help.
The course offers three levels of training and development in all aspects of Wicca and Witchcraft.
ALL THREE levels are run over a period of a Year and A Day.
Level One is a prerequisite for Level Two and Level One and Two are prerequisites
for High Priestess/Teacher level.
About Level One—the Novice Level - 'Observing Wicca'
This is an intense Year and Day of Wiccan learning suitable for those with an interest in Wicca or those looking to do comparative religious studies.
There are13 lessons, each lesson over a period of four weeks.
You are required to attend one two hour class per week at Rose Cottage in Waratah.
There is a large emphasis on home study and bookwork.
The course currently have 14 Novices doing our Level One Wiccan Study Course and the feedback has been tremendous.
Your mentors are practising Witches and Wiccan's ( no, they are not the same thing !) and your year will be full to the brim with new knowledge and experiences.
You will participate in a formal Wiccan Commitment Ceremony ( at the start of your year) and an Initiation and Dedication ceremony ( at the completion of the year) as well.
This is a huge year and will focus on Wiccan basics and forming bonds of Sisterhood that will last for lifetimes.
Our next YAAD Novice group will commence in March 2009.

Each yearly group is limited to 14.
There is an email group formed for those wishing to study with us next year and through that email group we will keep you advised of about information nights, starting dates, classes etc.
Level Two– Initiate level - Participating Wicca
During this year, the now dedicated Witch goes further into the basics learnt the pervious year– expanding knowledge and practical experience in Wicca and spell craft.
Initiates are those who are keen to know more, do more and take more power in their world and in Rose Cottage life.
Initiates have an active part in the Novice course and if required may be assigned a novice in the ‘buddy’ system to assist .
The initiate group are also be fully in charge of Cottage Esbats for the next year– organising dates, writing rituals etc…. as well as working through the seasonal sabbats in a hands on project form.
Level One is a prerequisite to this course.
Level Three– Priestess/Teacher Level- Living Wicca
A Year of working closely with your mentors and sisters to deepen your understanding and application of Wiccan principals and beliefs in everyday life.
Life at this stage is no longer separate sections of home, family, Wicca, work etc, but a more flowing integration of all.
Level three sees you LIVING WICCA and preparing to teach others to live Wicca as well.
The Priestess group will be responsible for the Sabbat celebrations of the Cottage and also for assisting in overseeing Novice and Initiate training.
Levels One and two are prerequisites for Priestess level.
